These have dire consequences for the people living in the affected areas and with the government already in debt they find it very difficult to find long term solutions.

Volunteering is not going to be able to stop the issues of climate change. It can however help with the recovery of areas affected. Not only with weather but all the problems many third world countries face including poverty, HIV/AIDS, famine and ethnic violence.  Volunteers have been coming to Africa to assist with many projects in the aid to improve the standard of living for all the people living there.
